A Weekend for Water: charity:water Event Recap

Members of the Conserva Irrigation family recently had the privilege of joining their friends at charity:water for a weekend of inspiring conversations, innovative ideas, and unforgettable experiences. Representing Conserva Irrigation were Creighton Lay, Brand Marketing Manager; Heather Todd, Director of Operations; Scott Reagan, Owner of Conserva Irrigation of South Nashville; and Stephen and DeeDee Dawson, Owners of Conserva Irrigation of Lake Norman. Here's a recap of this incredible event-filled weekend!

A Warm Welcome at the Brand Partner Happy Hour

The weekend kicked off with a Brand Partner Happy Hour at the newly opened Experience Lab in Franklin, TN. This gathering was the perfect way to set the tone for a weekend of collaboration and inspiration. It offered a wonderful opportunity to connect with the team at charity:water, explore the Experience Lab, and prepare for the exciting events ahead.

Innovation and Inspiration at the Brand Partner Summit

The following day, our team attended the Brand Partner Summit at Soho House Nashville. This morning event was filled with mission-driven discussions and inspiring presentations. Among the highlights was a keynote speech by Scott Harrison, founder and CEO of charity:water, who shared insights into the organization’s incredible journey and the impact of their clean water initiatives. Another standout moment was a special keynote by Bert Jacobs, co-founder and CEO of Life is Good, who inspired the room with his story of optimism and how it fuels his mission.

Immersive Experiences on Saturday

The learning continued throughout the weekend with the World Tour with Water Programs, where attendees explored interactive stations highlighting the different types of water projects supported by charity:water worldwide. This hands-on experience allowed participants to see the impact of clean water initiatives up close and understand the unique challenges faced by communities in need.

We also had the chance to explore the Experience Lab, where charity:water showcased how a “water walk” feels, what their global projects accomplish, and how attendees can drive change. Heather Todd shared her thoughts:

“Our team was challenged by discussing firsthand the impact of water scarcity on families as well as communities. The experience at the lab inspired us to champion the charity:water message with more people and provide additional resources for clean water. Conserva Irrigation is founded on the principle of water conservation, and we want to educate our customers on ways to water more responsibly.”

A Meaningful Finale

The weekend concluded on a high note with The Main Event. Set against the stunning backdrop of Downtown Nashville, the evening featured a keynote from Scott Harrison, a tasting experience with local vendors, and an opportunity to fund impactful clean water projects. This unforgettable evening embodied the spirit of charity:water’s mission and left everyone inspired to contribute further.
